Listamennirnir á bakvið Nocturnal eru hljóð- og myndlistamennirnir Samuel Miro og Delainy Kennedy og voru fæddir inní listamannaheim og hafa frá fæðingu lifað innann um allskyns viðburði innann NýjaSjálands og erlendis. “Echo” mun láta grunnskóla Seyðisfjarðar lifna við með myndum og hljóðum með samspili Nýsjálenskri og Íslenskri arfleifð.

Go to link“DPSD: SUNBURN FANTASIA” Með því að sameina bæði lifandi hreyfingar og hreyfimyndir, mun það sjónræna búa til óhefðbundið en fallegt andrúmsloft þar sem hugmyndin um sólskin er dregin inn í eitthvað undarlegt og ofbeldisfullt.
Þetta samstarf mun fela í sér upplýsta gagnvirka sýningu og verður í beinni alla hátíðina. Sýningar munu flytja áhorfendur til lækningaverndarstofu sem staðsett er á annarri jörð þar sem persónur framkvæma rannsóknir á plöntum og teikna hliðstæður á milli annarar plánetu og myrkursins sem einkennist af kuldaaðstæðum meðan á hátíðinni stendur.
Hringur í geimnum skráir hreyfingu pendilsins með því að nota útfjólublátt ljós til að teikna á sjálflýsandi yfirborð. Áhorfendur ásamt vindi og veðri sveifla og stjórna pendlinum til að taka upp tíma og hreyfingu, pendill sem lýsir í myrkri.

Go to linkA sundial that welcomes the sun in the city of Seydisfjordur. With a big pole in the center, the rising sun will mark the hours of the day with its shadow pointing at the hours. As soon as daylight disappears, the sundial turns into a circle of bonfires around the center-pole. The audience will interact with the sundial by walking from hour to hour.
Hátíðar útvarpið mun taka viðtöl við listamenn sem taka þátt í List í Ljósi, kynnir hátíðar dagskrána, heldur utanum hvað er að gerast á hátíðinni, spilar brot úr tónleikum, daglegur ljóðalestur og mun spila hljóðverk á meðann hátíðinni sjálfri stendur.

Áhorfandinn er leiddur frá einum stað til annars, reykslóð er skilin eftir eins og teiknuð í rýmið. Verkið er birtingarmynd tíma og rýmis bæði í líkamlegum og óefnislegum, félagslegum og rúmfræðilegum skilningi. Gerð er tilraun til að varpa ljósi á síkvikula núvitund sem verður ekki haldið niðri, eftir stendur eingöngu minning hjá þeim sem upplifa.
Molly MacLellan vinnur með óhlutbundna skúlptúra sem hafa snertifleti við síð-mínimalisma og stólar á náttúrulega eiginleika efniviðsins. Í skúlptúrum sínum vinnur hún með bakgrunnstengsl, sem hefur fylgt listsköpun hennar síðan hún málaði hlutbundin málverk, þannig að forgrunnur og bakgrunnur fá jafnt vægi og styðja hvert við annað.

Hátíðin leggur áherslu á að deila kvikmyndaupplifun á milli hvors annars á hverjum degi með því að bjóða upp á nýja, óvenjulega og áhugaverða upplifun í bíó. Enginn aðgangseyrir og ókeypis poppkorn.

Solveig Ylva Dagsdottir and Nanna Mølbak Hansen
Justin Ashworth is a sound artist/composer from Melbourne Australia, collaborating across media including contemporary dance and film. He also produces original music under the band name Glasfrosch. The sound score draws on some early experiments with the sounds gathered during Justin's residency at Heima in late 2015. The soundscape contains choral pads and voice drones built from recordings in the Tvisongur sound sculpture and a collection of rain and storm recordings made in Seydisfjordur.
Cross the threshold into "Another Dimension" in this interactive installation. Heidi is a Midwest wanderess with a passion for playing. Growing up, her playground was six-hundred fifty acres of dirt, cows, corn, and rust. Here is where the discovery and understanding of life, death, growth, abundance, decay, and other prevalent qualities of the farm became the foundation of her sculpture practice.

A subtle way to call attention to the fleeting landscape, notice what is around and connect with humanity, this soundtrack is both a record and snapshot of time. Employing a simple gesture of participation, a whistle will be the catalyst and carrier of sound.

Irony is a clearly recognizable element of this installation made from eight satellite dishes, seven white and one black, obvious waste elements of our society representing the power of mainstream TV and mass media. Brought to life by sound, wind and water, these animals float peacefully in a pond, merging perfectly with the nature surrounding them.

Nina is a visual artist from Reykjavík, Iceland. She graduated from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2014 with a b.a. Degree in Fine Arts. In April 2015 she started a two year fellowship programme in stone lithography printing with Leicester Print Workshop, England. She is thus currently based in the UK. In recent years she has exhibited her work in both solo and group exhibitions in Iceland and England. She works in mixed media including print, videos, installations, performances and textile

Nataliya Petkova is a multidisciplinary artist working with electronics, sound art, performance, code and images. She holds a bachelor degree in Visual Arts from École Supérieure d’Art de Marseille (France), as well as a master degree in New Media from Laval University (Quebec, Canada).
