Nanna vinnur með mismunandi miðla til að kanna hið efnislega, áreynslu og svæði/vettvang?. Í nálgun sinni sem byggir á ferlinu umbreytir hún náttúrulegum og öðrum fundnum efni í hluti eða myndir oft með úreltri tækni. Í nýjustu verkum sínum notast hún við ull, þræði og þæfða ull og mögulegum goðsögnum sem tengjast þessum efnivið. Nanna er með BA-próf í textílfræði og MA-próf í menningu og samskiptum.

Una Björg Magnúsdóttir (f.1990) nam myndlist við Listaháskóla Íslands og stundaði framhaldsnám við ÉCAL í Sviss þaðan sem hún útskrifaðist 2018. Una Björg vinnur aðallega með skúlptúr. Hún finnur verkum sínum farveg í ýmsum munum og uppstillingum sem eru í raun sviðsetning fyrir verkin sjálf. Verkin eru oft hreyfanleg og/eða gefa frá sér hljóð. Þannig eru verkin kunnugleg en ögra á sama tíma ályktun áhorfandans. Una hefur tekið þátt í sýningum erlendis og hér heima.

María Guðjohnsen er þrívíddarhönnuður sem er búsett í Berlín. Verkið hennar MILLISTIG fjallar um ferðalag milli veruleikans og sýndarheima. Listamaðurinn kannar sérstaklega íslenska náttúru og hvort að hún rími við draumkenndan þrívíddarheim. Verk listamannsins eru innblásin af framtíðinni, vísindaskáldskap, rómantískum litapallettum og náttúrulegum formum.

Hægt er að njóta listrænnar tjáningar Söndru í gegnum ýmsa miðla eins og myndbönd, málverk, skapandi skrif og fleira. Uppspretta innblástursins er hennar eigin reynsla í gegnum lífið og flókin fegurð hugsunna. Sandra vinnur mikið með hugtakið myrkur og ljós, hún vonast til að hvetja aðra til að auka innblástur á sýn sína jafnt og sína eigin.

Gethin vinnur með marga miðla þar á meðal málverk, skúlptúr og kvikmyndir. Í verkum sínum rannsakar hann fagurfræði verslunarvarnings með því að skoða hlutlæg tákn og viðteknar venjur. Frá þessum upphafspunkti hefur hann þróað áhuga á tælingu, óvenjulegan áhuga á yfirborði hluta og kvikmynd. Orð eins og tæling, glæsileiki og yfirborð eru mikilvægur þáttur í verkum Gethins. Hann stefnir á að búa til verk sem hefur glansandi gljáa og drýpur af glæsileika.

KIM.CAPPI er sviðstlistar tvíeyki með aðsetur í Kaupmannahöfn. Þær leitast við að kanna mögulega umbreytingu þegar tveir líkamar mætast í tilteknu rými og tíma. Með gjörningi sem varir í langan tíma á ákveðnum stað treysta listakonurnar á hvor aðra til að komast yfir mörk örmögnunar og afhjúpun varnarleysis. Samstarfið hófst árið 2018 í stiga sem var að svigna undan vindum Seyðisfjarðar og síðan þá hafa þær framleitt ýmsar sýningar.

Martin er þekktastur fyrir verkefnið Sun Mirror þar sem þrír risaspeglar á fjallinu endurspegla geisla sólarinnar á torgi bæjarins þá 6 mánuði ársins sem bærinn sé er hulinn skugga. Andersen nam myndlist, kvikmyndagerð og ljósmyndun í: Institut National des Arts de Babamko, Malí; Cinema experimental Braquage, París, Frakklandi og FotoKunstskole, Osló, Noregi.

Elsa er listamaður sem kannar hvernig náin kynni á milli mannverunnar og annarra lífvera geta skapað rými til að hugsa og endurspegla vistfræðilegt samband þeirra við umhverfið á þann hátt að það geti fært okkur nær öðrum veruleika. Hún vinnur með innsetningar, myndbönd og gjörning og býr til skammtíma umhverfi sem snertir á skynjun líkamans. Með verkum sínum reynir Elsa að hlusta með öllum frumum líkamans, hugsa í gegnum hendurnar og tala á annan hátt en með orðum.

Lasse Høgenhof (86) er frá Tjørring (DK), hann hefur búið og starfað á Seyðisfirði (IS) síðan 2011.
Elvar's work has been shown across Iceland as well as in exhibitions in France, Czech Republic and Austria. In 2016 Elvar was part of the project, Frontiers of Solitude, a collaboration between Skaftfell and institutions in Norway and the Czech Republic, which considered the contemporary transformation of landscape. Under the name Auxpan, Elvar releases experimental music and has participated in concerts in Iceland, France, USA, United Kingdom, Italy and Belgium.

Bundled matter in which anything is impossible; the infinite number of digits between 0 and 1, lukewarm areas, the possibility to see everything in intervals, to take attitudes, to convey perspectives and directions. Time is what makes things perceivable. Be it memories, short durations, long instants, coincidence or an apparent theory of everything.

Sean’s primary goal is to create an experience for the viewer that is engaging and encourages interaction. He wants people to touch, play, “feel like a kid,” go inside, explore and be curious. Using natural phenomena like the creation of colors in a rainbow, the glow-in-the-dark of phosphoresces or pull of magnetism the work becomes about each person's discovery as well as creating a shared experience of the strange and beautiful wonders of our universe. We are here now and everywhere forever.

I didn’t know I would cross a border to meet one. I didn’t know I would cross an ocean to make a world picture. The strings are making a streamline to a spiral face that has been arranged into flesh with the dates of time strung invisible on the string like pearls/gestures of an unkempt bed of snow/linen where lay the images of death masks. A woman is proving that this movement is the message and the messenger based on a rising from within (an entire planetary system evolving from an embryo.)

Abigail Portner is an artist, filmmaker and production designer. Best known for her collaborations and whimsical set designs for Animal Collective, Portner has also directed music videos for John Cale, done large scale video projections for the opening of the Whitney Museum, and created puppets for Jim Henson Studios. Abby graduated from Parsons School of Design in NYC. Her love of theatre, music and children's shows got her interested in making large scale sculptures and set designs.

By nature chickens are very responsive and sensitive to light, the rooster crows when the sun goes up. In February 2017 we experienced the first sun along with 3 dead chickens and at the time it seemed to be a symbol against life.
Alexander explores the potential of things that are often underestimated, considered to have degraded qualities or are limited by traditions, habits of thought and so have lost their vitality and agency, including the possibility of incorporation into a work of art. Through the making of art, this project explores unconventional ideas and approaches that may disrupt existing limiting perceptions we have toward familiar things and open up new thoughts, possibilities and realisations for them.

A flexible, responsive diamond grid of white light notating place, position and activity. This diagrid is a 'wet' grid - which is to say it is adaptable to position and like a simple organism it exhibits trophic responses in response to stimuli, in this case, peoples' movement.
Vindur is a light installation that is painting the wind structures in the Seyðisfjörður night. The wind will fill the wind cones with air, blowing them up and flooding them with light. The installation is capricious and will change suddenly and unpredictable by the Icelandic nature. Purplepony works with a strong focus between Art, Design and Architecture and is a loose formation of do-it-yourselfer, tinkerer and creative unicorns. 'Skin' is a piece responding to and revealing the fleeting elements of its surroundings, such as light, air and movement of bodies. It is doing that through subtle movements and sounds, in a wild dance in the strong wind, in the refractions of light constantly altering the surface, in the reflections of human bodies, moving. Through the Skin the audience is invited to discover the landscape they are part of.

'DPSD: SUNBURN FANTASIA' Combining both a live-action and animation, the visuals will create an ominous but beautiful atmosphere where the idea of sunshine is subverted into something bizarre and violent.
This collaboration will include an illuminated interactive performance series and live streamed projection throughout the festival. Performances will transport viewers to a botanical control room located on an alternate other earth where characters conduct plant investigations, drawing parallels between an alternate planet and period of darkness characterised by icy conditions during the time of the festival.
A Circle in Space records the movement of a pendulum using a ultra-violet light to draw on a phosphorescent surface. Viewers along with wind and weather swing and direct the pendulum to record time and motion as a sort of glow-in-the-dark mandala.

A sundial that welcomes the sun in the city of Seydisfjordur. With a big pole in the center, the rising sun will mark the hours of the day with its shadow pointing at the hours. As soon as daylight disappears, the sundial turns into a circle of bonfires around the center-pole. The audience will interact with the sundial by walking from hour to hour.
Festival radio presenting interviews with participating artists, presentation of festival programme, coverage from festival activities, mini-concerts from the radio room and a daily hour of poetry reading.

Ef himininn hrynur (upphaflega gert fyrir Whitechapel Gallerýið 2012) er rölt með listamanninum á hvern þann stað þar sem gjörningur fer fram. Áhorfandinn er leiddur frá einum stað til annars, reykslóð er skilin eftir eins og teiknuð í rýmið. Verkið er birtingarmynd tíma og rýmis bæði í líkamlegum og óefnislegum, félagslegum og rúmfræðilegum skilningi. Gerð er tilraun til að varpa ljósi á síkvikula núvitund sem verður ekki haldið niðri, eftir stendur eingöngu minning hjá þeim sem upplifa.
Molly MacLellan vinnur með óhlutbundna skúlptúra sem hafa snertifleti við síð-mínimalisma og stólar á náttúrulega eiginleika efniviðsins. Í skúlptúrum sínum vinnur hún með bakgrunnstengsl, sem hefur fylgt listsköpun hennar síðan hún málaði hlutbundin málverk, þannig að forgrunnur og bakgrunnur fá jafnt vægi og styðja hvert við annað.
Abby Portner er listakona og hönnuður sem býr í Los Angeles.Í augnablikinu vinnur hún sem leikmyndahönnuður hún ferðast um heima allann og hannar sviðsmyndir, ljós og vídjó.

Flat Earth Film Festival sýnir rúmlega 40 alþjóðlegar kvikmyndir dagana 20. til 26. febrúar. Hér er um er að ræða hliðar dagskrá List í Ljósi sem varð til í kjölfarið á kvikmyndaklúbbi sem Arndís Ýr Hansdóttir og Austin Thomasson starfræktu á Seyðisfirði. Hátíðin leggur áherslu á að deila kvikmyndaupplifun á milli hvors annars á hverjum degi með því að bjóða upp á nýja, óvenjulega og áhugaverða upplifun í bíó. Enginn aðgangseyrir og ókeypis poppkorn.
Föstudagur 24. feb 19:00 - Fjölskyldufólki boðið að sameinast fyrir utan spítalann til að sleppa skýja luktum sem markar opnun hátíðarinnar.

Solveig Ylva Dagsdottir and Nanna Mølbak Hansen
Justin Ashworth is a sound artist/composer from Melbourne Australia, collaborating across media including contemporary dance and film. He also produces original music under the band name Glasfrosch. The sound score draws on some early experiments with the sounds gathered during Justin's residency at Heima in late 2015. The soundscape contains choral pads and voice drones built from recordings in the Tvisongur sound sculpture and a collection of rain and storm recordings made in Seydisfjordur.
Cross the threshold into "Another Dimension" in this interactive installation. Heidi is a Midwest wanderess with a passion for playing. Growing up, her playground was six-hundred fifty acres of dirt, cows, corn, and rust. Here is where the discovery and understanding of life, death, growth, abundance, decay, and other prevalent qualities of the farm became the foundation of her sculpture practice.

Freyja Eilíf (B.1986) is a visual artist, living and working in Reykjavík. She graduated from the Iceland Art Academy and works as a director of Ekkisens Art Space. She will create a sculptural light art piece at List í ljósi Festival inspired the perception of revival and vitality in dreams.

Eva Wollenberg is a French polymathic outsider artist working and living in wilderness. Her creative ecosystem expands across photography, video, poetry, and music. In the NOCTURNAL installation, a woman stands in a garden of night-blooming flowers and turns inward in a meditative state. Light and shadows seem alive, tentacular, and caress her face. Litten Nystrøm (1977) was born in Aarhus, Denmark. She lives and works in Seyðisfjörður Iceland where her work is rooted in investigations of unpredictability and uncertainty as circumstances. A subtle way to call attention to the fleeting landscape, notice what is around and connect with humanity, this soundtrack is both a record and snapshot of time. Employing a simple gesture of participation, a whistle will be the catalyst and carrier of sound.

“Swans” seems like a harmless and naive name for the radical yet subtle intervention in nature accomplished by this work. Irony is a clearly recognizable element of this installation made from eight satellite dishes, seven white and one black, obvious waste elements of our society representing the power of mainstream TV and mass media. Brought to life by sound, wind and water, these animals float peacefully in a pond, merging perfectly with the nature surrounding them.

Arndis Yr and Austin Thomasson are Detroit based film and photographic artists. They work with narratives that bleed out from their frames. They are hinged upon the failures of how they've come to engage with these mediums, dining with expectations of entertainment versus art.
